Assisted with fire suppression and overhaul

Tanker 5 arrived on scene and metered the apartment. upon entering readings were at 300 ppm gas and 34 ppm co. Waited until a crew was established reentered residence packed up found gas knob on stove was left on. Turned knob off ventilated house and found no readings. Gas company arrived on scene to confirm and cleared the scene.

Alarm system had false alarm

Called for an activated CO alarm. Metered the house, found no readings of CO or gas. Power is out in the area.

On arrival, found dwelling well involved. Tanker 16-5 laid supply line & went into service with 3 handlines. Engine 16-3 supplied water and Rescue 16-2 supplied manpower. Manpower & water was supplied by other mutual aid companies. Extinguished fire & overhauled. Red Cross was called and EMS was on location with no injuries reported. Fire under investigation by State Fire Investigator. All units were clear at 10:19am.

Confirmed smell of natural gas. Stood by for gas company. Turn scene over to South Jersey Gas.

Received a call for a structure fire. The fire was in a barn and was extinguished by the home owner. 16-5 responded and provided support in searching the structure to make sure there was no fire within the walls. Released by Command.

Alarms activated due to battery

Set up a landing zone at the Elwood school & provided traffic support to police dept.
