... RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING.

DESPITE THE SHOWERY RAINS OF SUNDAY... FUELS ARE DRYING OUT RAPIDLY AGAIN AND THIS AFTERNOON... NORTHWEST WINDS WILL GUST TO 25 MPH WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY FORECAST TO DROP TO NEAR 25 PERCENT.

THE MOST PERSISTENT PERIOD OF GUSTY WINDS AND LOWEST HUMIDITY WILL OCCUR BETWEEN 2 PM AND 4 PM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW... OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS... LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE EXPLOSIVE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL.

The Elwood Fire Company has Taken Delivery of the New Rescue Pumper

Rescue 16-2 arrived at the Elwood Vol Fire Company on Saturday August 28th. 

R16-2 is a 2010 Pierce Contender 6 person cab, Cummins 375 hp Engine, 1000 GPM Pump, 500 Water Tank, 17' 9" Night Scan Light tower.

This truck will replace Rescue 16-4 which is a 1997 Ford F350 utility truck with a Reading body.

Look for it in the Wildwood parade.

Hammonton Fire Department MVA Car into the Building at Crescent Tire

EVFC Reports

A vehicle drove into the front of the building at Crescent Tire on Rt 30 in Hammonton on Wednesday at 9:03am. The Hammonton Fire & Rescue squad were called. Three people were checked out by EMS and refused to be transported to the hospital. As of Wednesday night a large section of the front had plywood over it.
