MVA on Route 30

Incidents 2007
There was a motor vehicle accident on Route 30 at mile marker 33 near the old State Police Barracks on 8/12/07 at 8:42am. The vehicle hit a telephone pole and a tree. There were two victims and one of them was trasported by helicopter. Tanker 16-5 landed the helicopter.

Forest Fire Water Supply at Hammonton

Incidents 2007August 4th, 2007 at 8:45pm. Tanker 16-5 and support 16-1 responded to the Hammonton/Burlington county line for water supply and stand by for a large forest fire. Tanker 16-5 filled forest fire trucks and stood by until 8:00 am Sunday morning. Three different crews switched off during the night to keep the crews fresh. See Media Gallery for more Photos

Nesco House Fire

Incidents 2007

On Monday, July 9th, around 5:30 P.M., A residence on Moores Avenue was involved in a fire. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental. The fire started from a gas grill located in an outside kitchen area attached to the house. No injuries reported. Tanker 16-5 and 16-3 responded to the call and supplied water and manpower.

MVA at RT30 and Elwood Rd.

Incidents 2007A motor vehicle accident took place on July 6, 2007 at the intersection of Rt30 and Elwood Rd. The jaws of life were used to extricate one victim and was flown to the hospital by helicopter.

From Atlantic City Press:
Two people were injured Friday night when a car overturned in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 30 and Elwood Road, police said.

One person was airlifted to the Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, and the other was taken to the Trauma Unit by ambulance, police said.

The accident was reported at 9:57 p.m., and no further information was available at press time.

FATAL PEDESTRIAN MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON US30

FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON US30

On June 13th at 3:37 pm the Mullica Twp Police dept (and Elwood Fire Company) responded to a motor vehicle accident at US30 the White Horse Pike and Darmstadt ave. The collision involved two vehicles and a pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The pedestrian was from Atlantic City NJ. the collision occurred when a 2003 Chevy Impala, of Lindenwold NJ, collided with a 2005 Toyota Scion of Egg Harbor City NJ. The Impala then struck the pedestrian. The Impala was headed East on Rt 30, The Toyota was on Darmstadt ave. The cause of the collision has not been determined, it is under investigation. The drivers of the vehicles were not injured.

The collision resulted in Rt 30 being shut down for approximately three hrs. (The Elwood Fire Company assisted with traffic) the weather was dry and clear and was not a factor. The Mullica Twp Police dept is asking for assistance from any potential witnesses. Any witness is asked to contact the Detective bureau at 609-561-7600 or 609-965-1200.

The Atlantic County Prosecutors Office is assisting with the investigation.
