EVFC Incident #104 11/16/2023 at 8:51am - 7th Ave/Weekstown Rd in Weekstown for a MVA with fire

IncidentsCalled for the report of a MVA with fire. On arrival found no fire. Found a two car motor vehicle accident with pick up truck vs school bus. No children were on the school bus and both drivers had minor injuries. Assisted Police with traffic & clean up. All units were clear at 9:46am.

EVFC Incident #103 11/14/2023 at 6:24pm - Arch Lane in Wharton Park in Elwood for an illegal burn

IncidentsNeighbors called in an illegal burn. Extinguished fire with homeowners garden hose. homeowner didn't speak english, Firefighter Bryan Olan translated to him the proper procedure for bonfire.

EVFC Incident #102 11/13/2023 at 1:44pm - 811 Elwood Rd in Elwood for a Gas Leak/MVA

IncidentsReceived a call for a gas leak. Arrived on scene and found that a vehicle struck the rear corner of a residence. No one was home at the time. Called the owner to get the code for the lock box. The impact of the vehicle, severed the gas line and caused serious structural damage to the home. We shut off the gas at the meter and ventilated the home. Stood by until the gas company arrived and cleared the scene.
