Call #52 Sweetwater Casino for a Structure Fire.

IncidentsThe Elwood Fire Company along with Sweetwater, Nesco, and Weekstown were called to the report of a structure fire at The Sweetwater Casino at 4:10am on June 30th. On arrival crews found heavy fire through the roof. Mutual aid was immediately called in from Hammonton, Egg Harbor and Lower bank. Shortly after the Tanker Task Force was called. The fire continued to rage out of control for hours. Over 12 other companies were called in to assist in battling the blaze. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were destroyed.

Incident #48 - Rt 30 and 10th Ave for a Car Fire

IncidentsThe Elwood Fire Company was called to Rt30 and 10th ave for car fire on June 22nd at 5:24pm. On arrival Chief Tomasco found a car with the engine compartment fully involved. Engine 16-3 with a crew of 5 arrived at 5:30pm and extinguish the fire. Tanker 16-5 arrived and supplied water to E-16-3. The Mullica Twp Police shut down traffic on Rt 30 west bound for about 15 minutes while the crews worked. All units were clear at 5:57pm.

Incident #47 Subrban Propane WHP Hammonton for Tanker Stand By

IncidentsThe Elwood Fire Company was called on June 22nd at 3:58pm Suburban Propane White Horse Pike (Rt30) in Hammonton for a tanker stand by due to a Propane leak. Tanker 16-5 responded with a crew of 5 and stood by until the leak was repaired. The crew assisted Hammonton in racking there 5" hose which was laid as a per caution. All units were clear at 4:21pm.
