The Elwood Fire Company was called to cover Germania's Station 26-2 while they were fighting a forest fire in the area of Bremen and Frankfurt Ave in Galloway Twp at 3:30pm on Sat  April 18th.  Multiple Atlantic County fire departments have been dispatch to the fire and multiple homes were evacuated. The fire was more than halfway contained by about 7 p.m

The Elwood Fire Company Responded to Moss Mill and Columbia Rd for a 2 vehicle MVA at 3:57pm on Sat April 11th. 2009. Engine 16-3 and Support 16-1 assisted at the MVA while Tanker 16-5 landed 2 helicopters at the Mullica Twp School. Two people were air lifted and one person was transported by ground ambulance to AtlantiCare Mainland by Hammonton Rescue.

The Elwood Fire Company was called to 700 Reading Ave (Water World Pools) in Hammonton for Structure Fire. Hammonton's first in crews found a fully involved commercial warehouse and placed all hand working. They quickly called for mutual aid from the surrounding area. Collings Lakes was called for their RIT team. Tanker Task Force B was activated bringing tankers from all over Atlantic County.
