Incident #25 04/18/2009 at 3:30pm - Germania Fire House for a Cover-Up Assignment for a Forest Fire in Galloway Twp

The Elwood Fire Company was called to cover Germania's Station 26-2 while they were fighting a forest fire in the area of Bremen and Frankfurt Ave in Galloway Twp at 3:30pm on Sat  April 18th.  Multiple Atlantic County fire departments have been dispatch to the fire and multiple homes were evacuated. The fire was more than halfway contained by about 7 p.m

Incident #23 04/11/2009 at 3:56pm - Moss Mill and Columbia Rd for a MVA and Landing Zone Assignment

Incidents

              

The Elwood Fire Company Responded to Moss Mill and Columbia Rd for a 2 vehicle MVA at 3:57pm on Sat April 11th. 2009. Engine 16-3 and Support 16-1 assisted at the MVA while Tanker 16-5 landed 2 helicopters at the Mullica Twp School. Two people were air lifted and one person was transported by ground ambulance to AtlantiCare Mainland by Hammonton Rescue.

Incident #22 04/07/2009 at 11:57am - 700 Reading Ave (Water World Pools) in Hammonton for Structure Fire

The Elwood Fire Company was called to 700 Reading Ave (Water World Pools) in Hammonton for Structure Fire. Hammonton's first in crews found a fully involved commercial warehouse and placed all hand working. They quickly called for mutual aid from the surrounding area. Collings Lakes was called for their RIT team. Tanker Task Force B was activated bringing tankers from all over Atlantic County. Crews worked for over 4hrs to bring this blaze under control.....Continue Reading

Incident #21 04/01/2009 at 3:50pm - 3838 White Horse Pike for an MAV Stand By & Landing Zone Assignment

Incidents
The Elwood Fire Company was called to 3838 White Horse Pike for a pedestrian Motor Vehicle Accident at 3:50pm on Wednesday April 1st. Tanker 16-5 and Support 16-1 assisted with traffic while Engine 16-3 Landed the Helicopter at the Mullica Twp School. One person was transported by helicopter to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus. All units were clear at 5:10pm.

Incident #18 03/23/2009 at 12:25am - 3323 Nesco Rd in Nesco for a MVA Jaws Assignment

Incidents

R16-4 & S16-1 responded to a MVA at 3323 Nesco Rd in Nesco for a Jaws Assignment. E16-3 was recalled by 1600A. The victim self-extracated. All units were clear at 12:50am.
