The Elwood Fire company was called to the report of a woods fire at 7:45pm on Tuesday May 19th 2009. Engine 16-3 responded and extinguished the 25'X25' fire. Forest Fire C-8 & C8A also responded. All units were clear at 8:03pm.

This is the second intentionally set brush fire this week. If you see anything suspicious call the Mullica Police at 965-1200.

On Monday May 18th at 8:07pm The Elwood Fire Company responded to the area of Rt 30 and Burdick ave for the report of the sighting of smoke. A brush fire was found in the area of the old drive in. Crews assisted Forest Fire C-8 & C-8A with extinguishment. All crews were clear at 8:45pm.
