Atlantic City Firefighter in KY. Jail on Threat Charge

A firefighter will appear today in court in Kentucky on charges connected with terroristic threats that culminated in a school lockdown in Atlantic City.

Cardiff-Bargaintown Has Two Calls Back to Back

Cardiff-Bargaintown Fire Companies responded to 157 Pine ave for a possible structure fire at 5:19pm and 219 Sunvalley Ct for a Co Alarm at 5:52pm. Pine ave turned out to be a working chimney fire.

Egg Harbor Township Fire Ruled an Accident

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - An Oakland Avenue home lies in shambles with broken walls, blackened vinyl siding and a caved-in roof, the result of a large fire Thursday afternoon.

Bargaintown Fire Company Assistant Chief Bob Dube said the fire is being considered an accident. The male homeowner had cleaned out the fireplace and dumped ashes on the porch, Dube said....Continue Reading

Fire Service's Newest Toy Burns Invading Grasses on Mullica River

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP  The thumping sound of helicopter blades preceded the state Forest Fire Service’s Bell 206 JetRanger as it flew south over the Mullica River and turned to survey Hog Island, where it burned 132 acres of reeds Friday morning.

Galloway Township Woman Injured as Bus Hits Car

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — A woman sustained head injuries Thursday after her car was hit by a NJ Transit bus on Route 30 in Galloway Township.

Stephanie E. Smith, 46, pulled out of a driveway near Vienna Avenue in front of the westbound bus carrying six passengers about 2:17 p.m. Driver Murray S. Klein, 57, could not stop in time, according to a crash report from Galloway Township police.

Smith refused medical treatment.

Klein was issued a summons for careless driving.

Klein and Smith both live in Galloway and were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision, police said.
