UPPER TOWNSHIP - For generations, people have tried to merge boats and cars, sometimes to comic effect.

Think the quacking of the Philadelphia Duck tours along the Delaware River.

Now, an Upper Township boat dealer is pitching a new rescue craft that doubles as an all-terrain vehicle.

Crash Sends Two to Hospital

Mullica Township - Two victims of a two-vehicle accident were in good condition Sunday, according to the nursing supervisor at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.

A pickup truck collided with a sport utility vehicle about 4 p.m. Saturday at Columbia and Moss Mill roads. Township resident Cathrin Haberland, the SUV's driver, did not observe a stop sign, police said.

The two men in the pickup truck - Hammonton resident Greg Ingram and James King, of Williamstown, Gloucester County - went to the hospital via helicopter. Haberland and her passenger were not injured, police said.

Township police are investigating the accident.

Fire destroys one home, damages another in Atlantic City

  2:20 p.m. Update - ATLANTIC CITY — Fire destroyed the Chelsea home of a family of five and damaged a second, adjacent home early Sunday morning, Fire Battalion Chief Michael Mooney said.

The two-alarm fire at 2811 and 2813 Denny Street began about 5 a.m. and took an hour and a half to control, Mooney said. No injuries were reported....Continue Reading

Family in Egg Harbor Twp. Escapes Fire that Destroys Home

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - A family escaped uninjured Thursday night when a large fire destroyed their two-story house at English Creek Avenue and Schoolhouse Road.

HAMMONTON -- Authorities are trying to determine what sparked a multi-alarm fire that caused significant damage to the Water World Fiberglass Pools manufacturing facility on Reading Avenue.
