CONTROLLED BURN CONDUCTED IN SOUTH JERSEY

Fire-Rescue News

Fire crews in New Jersey conducted a controlled burn Monday night.

It happened on the border of Camden and Burlington counties in a wooded area between Routes 30 and 206.

Officials say there is no danger to the public, but residents may see smoke and an orange glow.

Video from the Philadelphia Police Department's Aviation Unit showed the flames.

The burns are being conducted to slow any wildfire outbreaks during dry spring days.
