A brush fire burned about 27.5 acres of forest in the Weymouth area of Hamilton Township on Monday, police said.
Police said the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, the Weymouth Fire Department, the Mays Landing Fire Department, the Mizpah Fire Department, the Collings Lakes Fire Department, the Newtonville Fire Department and the Hamilton Township Rescue Squad responded to the fire.
The statement, released on Monday night, did not specify the time the fire started or how long firefighters were on the scene.
The fire is currently under investigation, police said.
