Elwood Fire Rescue: Man charged with starting Mullica Twp. house fire

MULLICA TWP. -Authorities say the man responsible for setting fire to a Mullica Township home last week is now behind bars.

31-year-old Christopher Smith of Hammonton is charged with aggravated arson and criminal mischief.

Police say just hours after a domestic dispute last Wednesday morning, Smith intentionally set fire to the home on the 1300 block of Heidelberg Avenue.

Authorities estimate the blaze caused more than $150,000 in damages.

Smith, who was arrested on Saturday, is being held on $100,000 bail
