Fire-Rescue News

Posted on NBC40.net: Oct 30, 2014 6:15 PM EDT Updated: Oct 30, 2014 6:15 PM EDT MULLICA TWP. -Authorities in Atlantic County say a fire that caused thousands of dollars in damage to a Mullica Township home is now being considered "suspicious".

Four different fire departments battled the blaze just before noon on Wednesday, on Heidelberg Avenue near Moss Mill Road.

One person inside the home was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and minor burns.

Officials say the fire, which took a little more than an hour to extinguish, likely caused more than $150,000 in damage to the home.

Authorities are still working to determine what caused the blaze, but are treating it as a suspicious incident.
