Apartment complex suffers serious damage in Atlantic City
ATLANTIC CITY -Authorities say parts of an apartment complex in Atlantic City suffered serious damage after an early morning fire.
It happened around 2:45 a.m. at an apartment complex on the 900 block of Kentucky Avenue.
Fire officials say they faced flames and heavy smoke after arriving on the scene.
The fire was extinguished in less than 30 minutes, but police say parts of the roof and a balcony suffered major damage.
No injuries were reported, although some residents were helped from the building by police officers.
4 residents have been displaced and are being given shelter by the Red Cross.
Officials estimate over $100,000 in damage.
No word yet on what may have caused the fire.
