An early morning blaze destroyed a mobile home today near the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing, police say.
Firefighters and police were dispatched to Inland Estates Mobile Park at 2:48 a.m. for a structure fire. Upon arrival, they found a mobile home fully engulfed in flames.
Neighbors had already evacuated the residents, Hiram V. Perez, 55, and his son, John Perez, 22.
The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes, but the cause is still under investigation by Hamilton police. No injuries were reported.
The Perezes are staying with family in the area.
