One dead after plane crash in Hamilton Twp.
HAMILTON TWP. - Officials say one man is dead after a small airplane has crashed into the woods in Laureldale, Hamilton Township. What is believed to be a single engine, home-built plane crashed in a wooded area around five this afternoon in a wooded area. Authorities at the scene tell us one person has died in the crash. Authorities don't believe there was anyone else in the plane. The plane is reportedly registered out of Sewell, New Jersey. Multiple rescue units are on the scene. No homes are considered to be in danger after a fire broke out, but is now under control. The two seater was reportedly built in 2006 and took off from Cross Keys airport in Williamstown earlier Friday afternoon. The National Transportation Safety Board is on it's way to investigate.
