Woman injured after driving car into Margate fire station

A 78-year-old woman crashed her vehicle into the Margate City Fire Department Station #1 on Wednesday, continuing through the garage bay and striking an interior wall, causing structural damage, Margate Police said.

Margate Police responded to the scene of the accident at Washington and Ventnor avenues at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday.

Dolores Ringold, of Cherry Hill, Camden County, was taken to Atlantic City Medical Center City Division for treatment.

The accident is being investigated by Officer Stephen Swift of Margate City Police Department.
