Firefighters battling flames from an overturned propane tanker are evacuating buildings in a one-mile radius of the stubborn fire in a mostly rural stretch of Bedminster, Bucks County, this morning.
The crash happened about 8 a.m., and as of 9:30 a.m., Easton Road (Route 611) remained closed as crews continued to spray the wreck near Creamery Road, apparently trying to allow a controlled burn-off.
One person was transported to a hospital, according to CBS3.
Fire officials at the scene first reported they were evacuating buildings within a half-mile of the fire but extended it to a mile as the blaze continued to burn.
Buildings in the area include a Whole Foods Store, medical offices and the Ottisville Volunteer Fire Co.
