Fire Rescue News- Two seriously injured during Hammonton head-on collision
HAMMONTON -- Two people are in the hospital with serious injuries after a head on collision Tuesday afternoon in Hammonton.
It happened just before 1:30 p.m. on the White Horse Pike east of the intersection of Pleasant Mills Road.
Police say 21-year–old Sean Dilella of Hammonton was driving east on the White Horse Pike when he crossed into the other lane and slammed into a car driven by 62-year–old Leopold Stoehr of Egg Harbor City. Stoehr's car was pushed off the roadway and down an embankment.
Both drivers were rescued from their cars then flown to separate hospitals.
The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
