ATLANTIC CITY -- Officials are investigating possible arson, after a fire outside an apartment building early Monday morning in Atlantic City. This was just one of two incidents that kept firefighters busy during the early hours.

Officials say two incidents happened simultaneously, between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.

The first happened on the 200 block of N. Beach Avenue. That's where officials say someone threw a bag of flaming feces at a home.

The second incident happened at a 10-story apartment building on the 100 block of S. Martin Luther King Blvd. Officials say someone poured accelerant on a rug outside an apartment on the 5th floor, which generated so much smoke that four companies had to respond to make sure there was no other source of the fire. Officials say the fire was definitely intentionally set.

Now officials are investigating whether the incident is related to mischief night, or intentional problems within the building.
