Fire Rescue News - RESIDENT DISPLACED AFTER SOMERS POINT FIRE
SOMERS POINT -- One person is displaced Monday evening after her home caught fire in Somers Point.
Officials responded to a town home on Cedar Court around 11 a.m.
They quickly had the blaze under control, containing it to the utility room on the second floor. The homeowner was able to get to safety right away, and firefighters rescued her pet cat.
The home has been uninhabitable, and officials believe the fire started in the dryer.
