A silver truck cut off a NJ Transit bus traveling west on Route 30 on Thursday night, sending it off the road and causing minor injuries to four passengers, police said.
At about 7 p.m., the truck, which was either a pickup or SUV, entered the right lane. The bus driver, Lowell Sangster, of Winslow Township, Camden County, swerved to avoid a collision, Mullica Township police said.
The bus careened off the wet highway and between several trees but avoided a major impact. Police said four of the five passengers were taken to the AtlantiCare Urgent Care Center in Hammonton.
The truck sped away after the accident, police said.
