Fire Rescue News - Hammonton farm workers treated after carbon monoxide leak

Fire-Rescue News

AC Press

Five farm workers were taken to a hospital after being “overcome” by carbon monoxide fumes at a Hammonton farm Sunday morning, police said.

The incident took place at a farm at the 300 block of Pine Road at about 8:20 a.m., Lt. Mark Fiorentino said. The five workers, whose names were not released, were taken to Virtua Berlin Hospital in Camden County after being found outside of a greenhouse on the property, Fiorentino said.

The leak appears to have come from a heater or pipe at the greenhouse, Fiorentino said, though incident is still under investigation.
