the fire at 15 Fourth Avenue. Three adults and four children were home at the time of the fire.

Initial reports were given stating there were still subjects in the residence but upon arrival of first responders all who were inside the residence had made it to safety.

This was the second major fire in Middle Township in less than 24 hours, and the third in the county, the second being earlier in the day on Court House-South Dennis Road.

Flames roared from the peaks of the dwelling, as firefighters in an aerial truck attempted to cut a hole in the roof.

Court House firefighter Randy Wolford was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center where he was treated for an ankle injury and released.

The home owner Kelly Dickinson, 40. was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center due to high blood pressure and a
recent hip surgery.

The Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office, Middle Township Major Crimes Unit and Cape May County Prosecutor’s
Office investigated.

The fire has been deemed accidental.

Also assisting at the fire scene were the Middle Township Ambulance Corps, Court House Rescue and the Rio Grande Volunteer Rescue Squad. Atlanticare Medic 3 was also on scene.

The American Red Cross also responded to the scene to render assistance to the victims of the fire.
