gap between the ceiling of the first floor and the floor of the second unit. Initially, firefighters said this was a separate incident and was unrelated to the morning fire, but investigation confirms otherwise. Crews were able to have the blaze under control within 20 minutes. There were no reported injuries and no residents were affected, since the building is unoccupied due to the first fire.
Earlier today, four people were taken to the hospital and 12 families were displaced after a fire broke out in the living room of the first floor, rear unit around 10 a.m.
Two firefighters were also taken to the hospital during the incident Thursday morning, but they have since been treated and released.
The incident is under investigation at this time.
