responded to the ongoing fire. Dozens of emergency personnel vehicles are present, including ambulances.
White smoke quickly billowed out of one building as firefighters tried to contain and extinguish the blaze in the Society Hill at Galloway complex on Navajo Court, near Society Hill Drive.
The fire is located in building 117. Half of the residents of the building have been allowed back in.
Other residents have been told by officials to wait while the fire is still being investigated.
Firefighters arrived to the scene to find flames and thick gray smoke pouring from windows.
Between fire and smoke, the incident has affected all three floors of the complex. Neighbors, many standing in their pajamas with animal carriers beside them, said the fire appears to have started in a ground-floor unit.
