MILLVILLE - Investigators are probing what caused a 2½ story house to catch fire at the height of the recent snowstorm on Wednesday, city fire department Capt. Keith Mitchell said.

9:30 p.m., he said, and crews stayed until around 1:30 a.m
Fire fighters found flames showing from the second floor, and Mitchell said that appeared to be where the fire started.
The house was under renovation, Mitchell said, and vacant when crews arrived.
Firefighters from Millville, as well as Vineland and the Cumberland and Laurel Lake fire companies responded.
The building was built in 1907 and contained three apartments, tax records show. It has been owned since February 2003 by Joann and Michael Rutkowski of Woodbine.
