Chief Bob Dube expressed his happiness to NBC 40.
"If I had a little bit more room over here, I would do some backflips right now just to show you how happy I am. I am really ecstatic, just sent texts to the men and women here and they are like wow... really great, builds up the momentum here," said Chief Dube.
He also said he plans to first replace the air packs, which are currently at life capacity.
The Salem Fire Dept. also received grant money.
