Fire Rescue News - Fire destroys Egg Harbor Township mobile home, kills dogs
Firefighters were called to the home on Johns Road in the complex at about 8:46 p.m., and arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the residence. Three fire companies — Cardiff, Farmington and Northfield — responded to battle the flames. The Egg Harbor Township ambulance squad and fire police also responded.

for dinner and got a call that their home was on fire. She had no idea how it started, but feared for the three adult dogs and some puppies trapped inside.
“I opened the door to get them, and (the police) wouldn’t let me in,” Johnson said.
Resident manager Joseph Goldberg said the dogs were later found dead, and the home was inhabitable.
Goldberg said he was home when friends of his children walked into his unit and said a house was on fire. The police had already arrived.
There have been several fires in the complex during the 19 years he has lived there, Goldberg said. They were caused by things such as malfunctioning heaters and dryer vents or burning candles.
Firefighters were still on the scene late Monday night and could not be reached for official comment.
