LEESBURG-- One family in Leesburg is calling their new home a Christmas miracle.

"Words can't describe it. I am so happy for my children. That's what I care about, my family," said fire victim Kenneth White.

"It looks great, it looks fantastic, it looks like home," said fire victim Karen White.

Supporters joined the White family as they entered.....Continue Reading

their new home. Inside they found freshly painted walls, new furniture, even a Christmas tree with a pile of presents.

"We really didn't know what we were doing and where we were going. Now at least we can start over again," said fire victim Jerry White.

Jerry and Karen white lived with their 31-year-old son Kenneth, his girlfriend and their young grandchildren Jason, Kenny and David. They have been living out of a motel after a fire ripped through their Dennis Township home last week. It left nothing but destruction in its path. They say a faulty wire in a section of the house caused the initial spark and they were left with next to nothing.

However, their luck is turning around. They are calling their new home a Christmas miracle. This after a community came together to renovate what was a dilapidated Leesburg rental property.

"It's a miracle. The way the house was when I took it over.... its a miracle," said family friend and project organizer Paul Bill.

Construction crews worked around the clock to complete the project. A Plummer was even fixing the kitchen sink just minutes before the whites arrived.

"We pulled it off, a lot of help and a lot of prayer," said Bill.

Paul Bill's goal was to hand the keys over to the Whites before Christmas and he did. Everyone here is happy this family will have a home for the holidays. It was all made possible by generous donors.

They many have a roof over their heads but the Whites say they are still trying to rebuild.

"Still basically taking a day at a time. At this point we're here and hopefully we can rebuild what we got burnt out," said Jerry White.

Thanks to the generous donations, the renovation only cost family and friends $600.
The Whites are hoping to one-day rebuild their Dennis Township home. A trust fund has been setup for the family
