Fire Rescue News - Bargaintown closes firehouse because of mold
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — The Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company closed its firehouse on Mill Road on Tuesday because of persistent mold.

2007 electrical fire. The leaky roof contributed to a mold problem at the firehouse.
The company will continue to provide fire service to this section of the township, Mayor James "Sonny" McCullough said.
The company will store some of its fire equipment at Township Hall while it continues to raise money for a new firehouse. In the meantime, the firefighters are using a second smaller station.
"They had insurance but they needed additional dollars to complete it," McCullough said.
The mayor said fire service will continue uninterrupted throughout the township.
“We have great fire companies. They’re very professional,” he said. “The people of Egg Harbor Township are very fortunate.”
