"A spark from the grinding action ignited his oxygen tube and burned the man on his face," McHale said.

Middle Township Police and Rescue were called to the scene and took the man to Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House, McHaler said, where he was pronounced dead after repeated attempts to revive him with CPR.

The statement added that "contrary to reports, there was no explosion and this was not an ‘industrial related accident.'"
