safely around 2:00pm Sunday. Passengers say they were told the hydraulic system had not been working properly and the crew had to switch to a backup electrical system in order to lower the landing gear and operate the flaps. However, conflicting reports from the airline say the landing gear may not have been affected. They would not comment further on the specifics of the malfunction.
Still, the captain didn't take any chances and ordered a special alert to personnel on the ground who cleared the runways and shutdown all operations temporarily. Multiple emergency departments were on scene as the plane touched down. It was then towed off the tarmac and everyone on board escaped the incident without injury.
The charter flight was carrying the passengers to South Jersey who were on their way to Bally's Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
