BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP - State Police said a 38-year-old man was killed Saturday night when he was struck by a car on Tuckahoe Road near the intersection of Main Avenue in the township.

David C. Brown, of Newfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle that hit Brown left before police arrived.

Trooper Brian Polite said Sunday afternoon that the investigation into the fatality led to the home of Linda Demarest, 46, of Milmay. Polite said that when police arrived at Demarest's home she attempted to flee the scene and her vehicle struck a pole.

She was then arrested for DWI.

The vehicle was a 1993  black Cadillac Eldorado and police said it had damage that led troopers to believe it may be the vehicle that hit Brown.

Charges may be pending, Polite said.
