a result, Galloway Township police said.
Police said they were called to the park on Wrangleboro Road at 3:10 p.m. and found the trash can on fire near the building that houses the restrooms at the rear of the park. The flames started to spread to the building.
The Bayview Volunteer Fire Company responded and put out the fire, police said.
Surveillance cameras show a man in his 40s wearing a baseball cap put what appears to be a cigarette into the trash can as he entered the men's room, police said. He then left the building, and a late-model red sport utility vehicle pulled away from the scene.
