An Egg Harbor City man was arrested and charged with aggravated arson in connection with a July fire that displaced four families, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel said Tuesday.

Atlantic Avenue, Egg Harbor City Detective Steven Hadley said. A woman was in the building at the time and was able to escape after she put a cloth over her face.
The Egg Harbor City, South Egg Harbor and Germania fire companies responded to the fire, which broke out at about 11 a.m. July 13. Police officers from Galloway and Mullica townships responded, as did the Galloway Emergency Medical Services squad.
Manzoni was arrested after an investiation by Hadley, Egg Harbor City police Capt. Rick Kramer and Detective Justin Furman of the Prosecutor’s Office, Housel said. If convicted of second-degree arson, he faces up to 10 years in prison. He is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $75,000 cash bail.
