A dog wandering across the Garden State Parkway caused a collision Thursday evening, injuring one person and seriously damaging a car, State Police said.
Jessika Bock, 21, of the Bayville section of Berkeley Township, Ocean County, was driving south on the parkway at milepost 51.5 in Bass River Township at 5:02 p.m. when she slowed down and switched lanes to avoid hitting a dog, according to....Continue Reading

State Police in the Bass River Station. As she did so, her car was hit from behind by an Academy bus with 53 passengers driven by Ernest J. Walls Jr., 52, of the Jamaica section of Queens, N.Y.
The impact pushed Bock's car off the road to the left, and it collided with the concrete median, causing serious damage to the car, police said.
Bock complained of pain and was taken by New Gretna Emergency Medical Services to Southern Ocean County Hospital for evaluation, police said. No one on the bus was hurt.
Academy sent a second bus to pick up the passengers, police said.
