Fire destroyed a utility company's van in Lacey Township on Tuesday morning, police said. The driver, its lone occupant, escaped unharmed.

10:40 a.m. when the JCP&L van was on Lacey Road's overpass above the Garden State Parkway.
Driver Donald Lasko, 57, of Jackson Township, was not injured when the 1997 GMC van caught fire, Veltri said. The Forked River Fire Department extinguished the fire. The van contained utility equipment, but it was not known whether any of it was salvaged or whether it contributed to the blaze.
