An SUV struck Tilton Inn, a longtime Egg Harbor Township restaurant and bar, Monday morning.
The incident happened at 8:30 a.m., at the intersection of Hingston Avenue and Tilton Road. An SUV collided with a silver Lexus car, and somehow ended up wedged near the restaurant's front entrance.....Continue Reading

The vehicle damaged a post, canopy and bench in front of the building. Green paint was scuffed from the front wall, but the wall remained intact.
Egg Harbor Township police are investigating the accident, and could release more information later today. There's no word at this hour on injuries or charges.
Skid marks stretched across the parking lot, extending from the intersection to the edge of the building. The SUV went over a parking block before coming to rest on the sidewalk outside the restaurant. The SUV's airbags deployed.
The bar, restaurant and package goods store has been at the same location for decades.
