Hamilton Township police said Friday they are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a townhouse in the Woodlands condominium complex.
Officers arrived at the home on Evergreen Court at about 10 p.m. Thursday to find it filled with heavy smoke and flames, police said. The residents were evacuated, and an 18-year-old female occupant was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus in Galloway Township, to be treated for a minor injury.......Continue Reading

The Cologne, Laureldale and Mays Landing volunteer fire companies responded to put out the flames, and the Mays Landing Rescue Squad also responded.
The American Red Cross and the township Emergency Management Office offered assistance in relocating the affected residents, police said.
The house, which was completely demolished in the blaze, was owned by Michelle Gerbino, of the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township, and was assessed at $49,900, according to township tax records.
Detective Mike Robison and township Fire Official Frank Primavera are investigating the cause of the fire, police said.
