Group is accepting donations of medical supplies

A five-man team from Vineland's Calvary Chapel will head to Haiti Tuesday to deliver supplies to earthquake victims.

Pastor Russ Sterger and Atlantic City Fire Capt. Robert Wojcik head the team, which also includes local residents Kirk Mayer, Shawn Brown, and Jon Livingston. They are the first of several teams that will head to Haiti, according to the church and Vineland Mayor Bob Romano's office, which has supported their efforts. They are working in conjunction with 2 Life 18 Foundation and Fishers of Men Ministries of Port-au-Prince.

The church is accepting donations of medical supplies ranging from hydrogen peroxide, antiseptic and gauze to surgical gloves and masks that can be packed into large duffle bags. Items can be dropped off at the church at 930 N. Main Rd. For more information, call 856-696-9409.
