Fire/Rescue News - STUDY RANKS ROUTE 30 IN ATL. CO. ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS FOR PEDESTRIANS
ATLANTIC CO.--A recent study has found that Route 30 in Atlantic County is one of the most deadly roads in a multi state region for pedestrians.
Comparing highways and roads in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, the Tri•State Transportation Campaign ranks the White Horse Pike as the 8th most dangerous, with seven pedestrian fatalities from 2006 to 2008.
The report ranks the Hempstead Turnpike in Nassau County, New York as the number one most deadly road, with 13 pedestrian fatalities from 2006 to 2008.
