MILLVILLE - A two-car collision Tuesday afternoon on Sharp Street seriously injured two people.

Police said Vineland resident David Seibel was driving south on Sharp Street when his car crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle driven by Elizabeth Charlton, of Newfield.

Charlton was briefly trapped in the car and had to be extricated by the Millville Fire Department. She was taken by Millville Rescue Squad to a landing area and then airlifted to the trauma unit at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Her husband, Raymond Charlton, also was airlifted to the trauma unit.

Both Elizabeth and Raymond Charlton were listed in critical condition, a hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday night.
