Local News - AtlantiCare announces plans for new facility in Hammonton
- AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center announced plans today to move its emergency room, wound treatment center and medical imaging operations from the former Kessler Memorial Hospital property to a new facility on Route 30.
The regional health care company will break ground in 2010 on a 39,000-square-foot building on 14 acres at 219 White Horse Pike. AtlantiCare estimates the facility will cost $20.6 million.
Kessler Memorial Hospital closed in March after declaring bankruptcy. Soon after, AtlantiCare leased the building and established a emergency room there. The lease is up in March.
