Fire/Rescue News - THREAT OF UNSAFE STRUCTURE EVACUATES 2-STORY APARTMENT
ATLANTIC CITY--A call to the Atlantic City Fire Department about a possible building collapse resulted in the evacuation of several people from a 2-story apartment house.
Fire crews were at the scene along the 100 block of New Hampshire Avenue shortly after 7:30p.m. Monday, evaluating the 2-story brick building, only half of which is occupied.
According to an official at the scene, the only damage that was found was the buckling of some brick veneer on the building's front side.
A city engineer was expected to determine the safety of the building and if and when tenants could return inside.
