EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - Two Egg Harbor Township residents were killed Saturday morning when their motorcycle struck an oncoming car, police said.

Braun's bike collided head-on with a southbound car driven by a 17-year-old Upper Township resident, police said.
Braun's motorcycle sustained extensive damage and came to rest on the northbound shoulder, police said. Braun suffered critical injuries and was taken to the Regional Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, by Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Services and AtlantiCare paramedics.
Braun was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.
Simpson was pronounced dead while being taken to the hospital by the Somers Point Volunteer Rescue Squad.
The car sustained extensive front-end damage and was found disabled in the roadway as a result of the crash, police said. No injuries were reported to either the driver, who was not issued a summons, or the passenger, Gray said.
As for Braun, "It is suspected that alcohol may have been a factor in Braun's operation and involvement in this collision," Gray said in a news release.
Traffic was detoured for about four hours while the crash was being cleared and investigated.
The collision is being investigated by the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit in cooperation with Sgt. Keith Fane of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Collision Unit.
