EGG HARBOR CITY - A father and son were arrested for drug distribution Friday after a lengthy investigation led police to their Philadelphia Avenue home.
At approximately 4 p.m. Friday, police served a search warrant at the Philadelphia Avenue residence of Donald and Daniel Peterson after more than a month-long investigation into the father and son's drug-related activities, Chief John McColgan said.
Donald, 52, and Daniel, 20, Peterson were found with more than 135 grams of marijuana, miscellaneous pills and drug paraphernalia, McColgan said. More than $800 in cash was also seized in the arrest, he said.
The investigation was conducted by Det. Steve Hadley and Patrolman Dylan Hutton, who were assisted by the state police and Det. Brian Zech of the Mullica Township police department.
The father and son were arrested without incident and released on summonses.
"This is an example of our ongoing efforts to rid Egg Harbor City of illegal narcotics," McColgan said
