The Coast Guard used a helicoptor to rescue an Egg Harbor City man Tuesday after his Jet Ski ran aground.
The Coast Guard says Robert Cook, 47, was riding his Jet Ski near Brigantine Bridge in Brigantine Bay, when the tide went out.
Cook called the Coast Guard at 7:51 p.m., but his cell phone had limited power. A rescue boat couldn't reach him due to shallow water, so a helicoptor rescued him instead. He was taken to the Coast Guard Air Station in Atlantic City, where he was met by family members.
Cook was not injured.
