HAMMONTON -- The town's newest fire truck will be dedicated to Hammonton Fire Chief Emeritus Jack Donio.
The dedication of the 2009 Pierce Impel pumper truck will be made during a ceremony scheduled for 6 p.m. July 27 outside Town Hall at Central Avenue and Vine Street.
"This is way of honoring the dedication that Jack gave the department and town," Mayor John DiDonato said.
Donio served as a member of the Hammonton Volunteer Fire department from 1965 to 2002. He served as Hammonton's fire chief from 1988 to 2002.
Following the ceremony, light refreshments will be served. The Hammonton Town Council meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
